According to TechFlow, on July 22, industry insiders revealed that Samsung Electronics plans to build a new HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) manufacturing plant within its campus in Gwangju, South Korea, aiming to accelerate the expansion of its B2B central air conditioning business.
Reports indicate that Samsung has recently submitted a construction permit application for the new facility at the Gwangju campus to the local government. The project is expected to involve an investment of approximately 200 billion Korean won, aiming to strengthen HVAC system capacity, including cooling equipment for AI data centers. (Cailianshe)
