TechFlow news, on July 22, GoPlus Security issued a security warning stating that a user had signed a malicious Permit transaction 183 days ago, resulting in approximately $1,625 worth of USDC being transferred away by phishing attackers. Since the user did not revoke the relevant approval thereafter, the attackers exploited this approval again to transfer approximately $75,780 worth of USDC.
GoPlus reminded users to click unknown links cautiously, avoid signing unclear transactions, and grant approval limits only when necessary to guard against phishing risks.
