TechFlow News, July 12. On Friday evening Eastern Time (July 10), SK Hynix CEO Kwak Noh-jung publicly predicted that 2027 will become the year with the tightest supply in the history of the memory industry. "Customers are now flocking to SK Hynix to seek long-term supply agreements. Demand continues to grow, while our capacity is limited. Although we are doing our best to expand capacity, even after 2030, customer demand may still exceed the company's supply capacity," he said.
However, domestic industrial investment professionals who have previously contacted Korean memory manufacturers stated that, in addition to their own development, executives of major overseas memory manufacturers are currently also monitoring the expansion progress of Chinese memory manufacturers, and the domestic "two memory" companies (CXMT and YMTC) may become the biggest long-term variable in the future memory market.
