TechFlow News, June 25: According to Forbes, image licensing giant Getty Images has entered into a multi-year visual display partnership with OpenAI, integrating its licensed visual content into ChatGPT’s search and discovery features. Getty Images previously sued AI companies over copyright issues related to AI training data; however, the progress of those lawsuits has not fully met expectations.
As AI-generated content capabilities improve, the core value of media and copyright organizations is shifting from individual works to “compliantly licensed content libraries” and distribution gateways for content entering AI products. Copyright disputes will persist, but commercial collaboration models are becoming a key direction for integration between the AI industry and the content sector.
