TechFlow News reported on June 24 that, according to Forbes, Lionel Messi officially joined the global “Billionaire Club” in June this year, with a net worth of $1.1 billion. Messi has also made notable investments in the crypto and blockchain sectors, including ventures into the NFT (non-fungible token) space—launching digital collectibles and positioning himself within the metaverse economy—as well as investing in blockchain-based football gaming companies such as Sorare and other technology startups.
Since 2014, Messi has consistently ranked within the top five on Forbes’ list of the world’s highest-paid athletes and topped the list in both 2019 and 2022.
