TechFlow News, June 4: According to The Block, the U.S. Department of Justice stated that, as part of a coordinated anti-fraud operation codenamed “Disruption Week,” private-sector participants collectively froze over $3.8 million in cryptocurrency assets linked to fraud. Participating organizations included Coinbase, Meta, Google, Microsoft, SpaceX, and TRM Labs.
The operation also led Thai police to arrest seven individuals involved in fraud and identified multiple fraudulent platforms for referral to U.S. authorities for investigation. According to data from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), reported losses from cryptocurrency investment scams in 2025 rose 24% year-on-year, exceeding $7.2 billion.
