TechFlow News, April 9: According to Turkey’s Anadolu Agency, Pakistani government sources stated that U.S. and Iranian delegations will hold “direct” negotiations in Islamabad aimed at reaching a “permanent ceasefire” agreement. The talks, scheduled to begin on Saturday, may last longer than one day. Pakistan is preparing to host the negotiations. The meeting will be held at a heavily secured military facility organized by the Pakistani military. According to sources, there is no fixed timetable for the negotiations, which will include both direct and indirect contact between the delegations. “The two sides will also hold face-to-face meetings, as well as separate meetings with the Pakistani side.” Given the “complexity of the issues,” discussions could continue for “several days.” However, sources noted that, for security reasons, the direct negotiations may last no more than two or three days.
