TechFlow News, March 20: AlphaTON Capital Corp. (NASDAQ: ATON), a Nasdaq-listed company, announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a 60% controlling stake in mobile gaming platform GAMEE. GAMEE is currently a wholly owned subsidiary of Animoca Brands and boasts over 119 million registered users, approximately 61 million of whom are active within the Telegram ecosystem. The transaction values GAMEE at $18 million, with total consideration reaching up to $11 million.
AlphaTON Capital and Animoca Brands have formally entered into a strategic alliance agreement to jointly explore commercial opportunities in blockchain and social gaming. The transaction is expected to close within 30 days.
