TechFlow News, March 12: According to JINSHI Data, recently, as the OpenClaw AI agent gains increasing popularity, the “lobster installation craze” has driven up prices and caused shortages of related hardware devices. Today, reporters observed at a second-hand equipment wholesale stall in Shenzhen’s Huaqiangbei Electronics Market that within just 20 minutes, five or six groups of customers arrived to inquire about hardware devices compatible with the OpenClaw installation environment.
A consumer shared: “I specifically traveled here from Guizhou today to buy a host box for installing the ‘lobster’—I’ve visited several stores, but they’re all out of stock, and prices keep rising.” Reporters visited multiple second-hand wholesalers, all of whom confirmed shortages. “There are still quite a few inquiries, but the key issue is lack of inventory. It used to cost over RMB 3,000; now it seems to have increased by RMB 1,000.” (CCTV Finance)
