TechFlow News, March 12: According to SnowShadow, a user on the X platform, Tencent’s SkillHub platform has allegedly scraped all skill data from OpenClaw’s official skill marketplace, ClawHub, en masse and imported it into its own platform.
Peter Steinberger, founder of OpenClaw, publicly responded, stating that he had previously received emails from individuals complaining that OpenClaw’s rate-limiting settings were hindering their data scraping speed. He noted that these parties were heavily consuming OpenClaw’s server resources without providing any support for the project—causing server costs to surge toward five-digit figures. Steinberger urged Tencent to offer tangible support rather than unilaterally consuming resources.
