TechFlow reports that on March 12, according to Bloomberg, U.S. prosecutors stated that Sam Bankman-Fried’s motion for a new trial should be denied, as he failed to demonstrate any injustice in the original verdict. Bankman-Fried is currently serving a 25-year prison sentence. In 2023, a jury found him guilty of fraud and conspiracy related to the collapse of the cryptocurrency exchange FTX, leading to the aforementioned sentencing.
