Web3 Carnival Warms Up Hong Kong! Dr. Xiao Feng Joins Secretary Chan Mo-po and Others to Launch Global STEM Business Week 2025

The Business of Innovation and Technology Week (BITWeek), driven by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's Department of Innovation, Technology and Industry and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), was held again in Hong Kong this April. A series of major events took place, including the Smart Lighting Expo, Hong Kong Web3 Festival, Hong Kong International Tech Expo, Hong Kong Spring Electronics Fair, and the Hong Kong World Youth Science Congress.

As one of the five flagship events of BITWeek, the 2025 Hong Kong Web3 Festival, co-organized by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs and HashKey Group and produced by W3ME, successfully concluded from April 6 to 9 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

On the morning of April 13, Dr. Xiao Feng, Chairman of Wanxiang Blockchain and Chairman & CEO of HashKey, was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the 2025 Business of Innovation and Technology Week (BITWeek 2025). He joined Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government Mr. Paul Chan, HKTDC Chairman Dr. Lin Jianyue, Vice Chairwoman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Vice Chairwoman of the Central Committee of Zhi Gong Party, Vice Chairwoman of All-China Women's Federation, former Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology and President of China Institute of Electronics Ms. Xu Xiaolan, Director of the Education and Science Technology Department of the Central Government's Liaison Office in Hong Kong Dr. Wang Weiming, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry Professor Sun Dong, and HKTDC Executive Director Ms. Alice Fung, among other distinguished guests, to jointly launch BITWeek 2025.

The Web3 Festival is a Web3 event brand jointly launched by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs and HashKey Group, produced by W3ME. The previous editions—Hong Kong Web3 Festival 2023 and 2024—were both great successes, bringing together over 250 cutting-edge projects, inviting more than 800 industry leaders for in-depth exchanges, attracting over 80,000 on-site attendees cumulatively, and organizing more than 300 vibrant side events.

Building on the success of the first two editions, the 2025 Hong Kong Web3 Festival expanded its venue size by 50% compared to last year, exceeding 14,000 square meters, with total attendance over the four days surpassing that of the previous year. Spanning six main venues themed around the four seasons—spring, summer, autumn, and winter—the four-day festival symbolized the continuous growth and vitality of the Web3 industry. Each day featured unique highlights designed to attract diverse audiences, maintaining high energy from start to finish, delivering a feast of intellectual exchange and generating countless insightful perspectives on the future.
