DOGE Meme Original Shiba Inu Owner Clarifies: CATE Token Unrelated to Me

TechFlow reports, on July 28, the owner of Kabosu, the Shiba Inu prototype of the DOGE meme, posted stating that the recently circulated CATE token has no association with them. They stated that after posting cat-related content on Instagram, the relevant content was used without authorization and was used to create fake tokens. They expressed regret over the misuse of personal photos and content, and pointed out that some accounts with significant influence on the X platform were involved.

They emphasized that regarding intellectual property-related collaborations, the only project they are currently formally involved in is Own The Doge. This project acquired the Doge NFT in 2021 and launched the DOG token, and is also responsible for Doge Day events, charitable support, and its intellectual property management. Additionally, they stated that they collaborated with them to launch COCORO on the Base network in 2025, and the relevant proceeds will be used to support the lives of animals in families and animal protection work.

They reminded the public to refer to official information and to remain vigilant regarding projects and tokens unrelated to them.
