TechFlow reports that on July 12, crypto payment company MoonPay posted on X platform stating that its "AI Intern Project" test failed and still requires further optimization. Related tests have currently been suspended and "sent back for repairs."
It is understood that this incident stemmed from a previous test of MoonPay's "AI Intern V1.0," which posted about the death of internet-famous hippo MooDeng, sparking market concern. However, MooDeng is actually in good condition, "still chubby, very happy, and extremely healthy." MoonPay apologized for the potential false report and market concern caused previously, and stated that this incident exposed issues that still need to be perfected in the AI agent project before its official launch.
