TechFlow reports, July 9: According to The Information, the U.S. Department of Justice sent an internal memo to prosecutors responsible for crypto cases in early June this year, warning that they may face less cooperation from Binance in future case proceedings. The memo noted that Binance may impose stricter requirements on law enforcement agencies regarding asset freeze and seizure applications. In response, a Binance spokesperson stated that the company has not implemented any relevant new procedures, cooperation with U.S. law enforcement agencies remains unchanged, and the allegations are false.
The report states that Binance is currently negotiating with the Department of Justice to conclude the independent monitoring program established by the DOJ following its 2023 criminal case, though the Treasury Department's monitoring program continues.
