According to TechFlow, on July 7, Du Jun, co-founder of Huobi and ChainUP, and founder of Vernal Capital, revealed that Li Bojie, a "Huawei Genius Youth," after founding the AI project Metagent in 2024 and securing investment from ABCDE Capital, refused to fulfill basic obligations stipulated in the investment agreement, including refusing to update investors on business progress and financial status, and subsequently lost contact. His partner Zhuang Siyuan exhibited similar behavior during the collaboration; whenever investors requested financial statements, he would stop responding and lose contact. Metagent ultimately came to nothing.
Du Jun added that this post stemmed from Li Bojie publicly complaining about the DeepSeek interview experience today—after passing the written test, he was left waiting for half a month before an interview was arranged, and was required to undergo two rounds of coding interviews, suggesting his new project encountered setbacks again. Du Jun stated that venture capital can accept project failure, but cannot accept fraudulent behavior where founders take the money and run.
