TechFlow News, June 25: According to The Block, Story—originally focused on on-chain intellectual property infrastructure—has rebranded as DATA Foundation and shifted its business focus to AI training data, launching Trace, an on-chain data registry and auditing platform. Story’s native IP tokens will be migrated 1:1 to the new DATA tokens; holders need not take any action, and specific timelines and instructions will be announced later.
DATA has also announced a deep integration with Kled, an AI training data marketplace, bringing over 1.5 billion user-contributed data records onto the DATA network. Through Trace, each data contribution generates an on-chain receipt documenting the data source, licensing terms, contributor consent, and payment details, enabling settlements to contributors in stablecoins or fiat currency.
