According to CME’s “FedWatch”: The probability of the Federal Reserve raising rates by 25 basis points in April is 0.5%, while the probability of holding rates steady remains at 99.5%—both unchanged from before the announcement. By June, the probability of a cumulative 25-basis-point rate cut stands at 2.0% (down from 7.8% prior to the announcement), the probability of holding rates steady is 97.5% (up from 91.7% before the announcement), and the probability of a cumulative 25-basis-point rate hike remains unchanged at 0.5%.
