TechFlow News: On March 11, according to The Block, Ledger’s internal security team Donjon discovered a critical vulnerability in the Android firmware of MediaTek-powered smartphones. Attackers with physical access to the device can extract the device PIN and encrypted wallet seed phrase within approximately 45 seconds. Major wallets—including Trust Wallet, Kraken Wallet, and Phantom—are affected, potentially impacting around 25% of Android devices. Ledger recommends users promptly install the latest security patches provided by MediaTek and their respective smartphone manufacturers.
