Gold token XAUm officially launches on Sui, with the Sui Foundation adding XAUm to its strategic reserves

On August 21, 2025, Matrixdock, Asia's leading real-world asset (RWA) tokenization platform under the Matrixport Group, announced the successful deployment of its gold token XAUm on the Sui network. This marks the first time XAUm has been deployed on a non-EVM-compatible chain, representing a significant leap forward in XAUm’s technical architecture and supported network scale. The Sui Foundation will also hold XAUm in its strategic reserves, demonstrating strong endorsement of the project and further highlighting the strategic role of tokenized gold within on-chain portfolios in the Web3 era.

XAUm is the first gold token asset in the RWA tokenization sector on the Sui network. With XAUm now live on-chain and fully integrated into the ecosystem, users across the Sui ecosystem can easily access XAUm and efficiently interact within the on-chain environment. Currently, XAUm has partnered with core infrastructure providers on Sui—Pyth Network will deliver Sui-specific price feeds for XAUm, while Slush will list XAUm to offer seamless protocol interaction for on-chain participants. Additionally, integration with major DeFi protocols on Sui is underway, with Momentum, Navi, AlphaLend, Alphafi, and Nodo all set to complete XAUm integration soon, expanding XAUm’s DeFi applications on Sui.
