Over the past week, we've witnessed a strong rebound in the DeFAI sector, with most top tokens such as ANON, GRIFFAIN, RSS3, and PAAL posting price gains between 30% and 70%.

Bullish momentum has finally returned to the crypto market, with Bitcoin reclaiming $88,000 and Ethereum breaking above $2,000.

With improving macroeconomic conditions and anticipated Federal Reserve rate cuts on the horizon, the perfect storm for a DeFAI bull run is becoming reality.

In today’s article, I’ll first analyze recent DeFAI market dynamics.

Then, I’ll explain why I believe DeFAI will become one of the most successful crypto narratives of 2025.

Finally, I’ll share my personal DeFAI portfolio to give you insight into how I’m positioning myself within the current market.

DeFAI Market Dynamics

Data doesn’t lie. Over the past week, DeFAI has demonstrated remarkable relative strength compared to all other narratives.

In terms of price performance, DeFAI emerged as the top-performing narrative, averaging a 37% gain over the last seven days.

DeFAI was the strongest market theme in January, but the broader market crash in February and March brought its bull run to a halt.

Now, after two months of bear market conditions, we’re finally seeing a favorable entry point.

Just imagine what could happen to the DeFAI sector—currently valued at less than $1 billion—if Bitcoin and Ethereum suddenly surge with several strong green candles?

DeFAI Is Innovation—and a “Cult”

But why, among all crypto narratives (gaming, NFTs, memecoins, Layer 1s, abstract layers), is DeFAI outperforming?

In my view, DeFAI will become the strongest crypto narrative for the following reasons:

• DeFAI is the natural evolution of DeFi, which dominated the 2020–2021 bull cycle. DeFi—and by extension, DeFAI—represents the core utility of blockchain technology in everyday applications, attracting the most users, capital, and attention.

• The first DeFAI products are already live. This means we're not betting on abstract future concepts, but investing in companies actively operating and continuously reinventing the DeFi experience—companies already generating millions in fee revenue.

• DeFAI is also a community-driven narrative. From personal experience, this is absolutely true. Whenever I post updates on X, hundreds of DeFAI enthusiasts engage with me, and my posts regularly reach hundreds of thousands of impressions—clear signals that many people are closely watching DeFAI and its development.

• DeFAI is also one of the most developer-focused areas right now. Over recent months, I’ve maintained close contact with key founders in the DeFAI ecosystem, including Daniele from HeyAnon, R from Fungi Agent, Bebis from Cod3x, James Ross from Mode Network, and others. These builders are laser-focused on creating the next wave of DeFAI innovation, and I firmly believe they will deliver.

My Personal DeFAI Portfolio

I usually avoid disclosing my holdings, but I believe now is the right time—to act before the broader public rushes in with FOMO, before market frenzy overtakes rationality.

I won’t reveal the total size of my wallet, but I will share the allocation percentages of each token in my portfolio.

My largest holding is ANON at 35%, followed by MODE at 15%, AIXBT at 13%, BNKR and VIRTUAL both at 8%. CDX, GRIFFAIN, and PAAL each make up 5%. Finally, MAIGA, GATSBY, and BUZZ are smaller positions at 2% each.
