ETHTaipei 2025: The newly appointed co-Executive Director of the Ethereum Foundation will join a panel with Vitalik Buterin

The highly anticipated ETHTaipei 2025 will take place on April 1–2 at POPOP Taipei (Nangang Bottle Cap Factory) in Taipei. This year’s event not only continues its tradition of in-depth technical programming but also introduces a music stage, live painting sessions, and a traditional Taiwanese “banzhuo” banquet—offering attendees a unique blend of technology and local culture.

Newly appointed Ethereum Foundation co-Executive Director to join Vitalik on stage

A flagship panel at ETHTaipei 2025 will feature Hsiao-Wei Wang, the newly appointed co-Executive Director of the Ethereum Foundation and a renowned blockchain expert from Taiwan, alongside Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and spokesperson Joseph Schweitzer. The session will focus on technological breakthroughs and industry trends. Hsiao-Wei Wang stated: “The Taiwan and broader Asian community are central to my work. I look forward to strengthening Ethereum's technical ecosystem in Asia through ETHTaipei.”

Other speakers come from leading global teams including Uniswap (decentralized exchange), Polygon (Layer 2 scaling solution), WalletConnect (wallet connectivity protocol), ZKSync, Portus (famous for its adorable mascot), Zircuit, Teahouse, imToken, RareSkills, AppWorks, and Zomma, covering key areas such as DeFi, scalability, and wallets, delivering cutting-edge insights and practical knowledge.

Experiences Beyond Technology

In addition to the technical program, ETHTaipei 2025 offers diverse experiential activities designed to foster connection and interaction in a relaxed atmosphere:

• Music Stage: Open Jam sessions will run daily from 11:00 to 17:00, allowing participants to freely play electronic drums, keyboards, guitars, bass, and more. From 12:00 to 14:00 at noon, Home Band will provide live instrumental backing, creating an interactive musical experience.

• Live Painting: Internationally acclaimed live painter and manga artist SHINN UCHIDA (Instagram: @mangalivepaint) will perform real-time artwork that uniquely blends art with technology, adding visual and creative flair to the event. SHINN UCHIDA made their debut with Shueisha’s *Ultra Jump* and has since gained viral popularity, receiving invitations to anime conventions across 13 countries in the U.S., Europe, and Southeast Asia.

• Traditional Banzhuo Closing Party: The event will conclude with a traditional Taiwanese “banzhuo” banquet hosted in front of a Dadaocheng temple. Served in a communal流水席style, this feast will showcase authentic Taiwanese cuisine and cultural heritage. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin may attend in person to celebrate with participants.
