TechFlow News, June 24: According to The New York Times, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has instructed his team to develop an internal prediction market application codenamed “Arena,” which will operate independently of Facebook and Instagram.
The report states that the app may initially adopt a game-like point system rather than real-money betting, though the company has not ruled out introducing real-money wagering in the future. This move signals Meta’s growing interest in the rapid expansion of prediction market platforms such as Polymarket and Kalshi, and its efforts to enter this emerging category of social products.
