- Scaling & Infrastructure: Ronin Network completed its migration to an Ethereum Layer 2; the Arbitrum Foundation announced that LG Electronics’ blockchain team is piloting on-chain advertising on its network; Base launched its first independent upgrade, “Azul,” reportedly boosting throughput to approximately 5,000 TPS and introducing several execution and consensus improvements.
- Payments & Finance: Mastercard expanded stablecoin settlement support to include assets such as USDC and PYUSD, enabling settlement on both the Ethereum mainnet and Layer 2 networks; Cash App launched USDC functionality, enabling nearly 60 million users to send and receive tokens directly on-chain; JPMorgan Chase launched its second tokenized money market fund on Ethereum.
