TechFlow News, April 15: According to a report by Axios, two U.S. officials stated that U.S.-Iran negotiation teams made progress during talks held on Tuesday local time, moving closer toward reaching a framework agreement to end the war. One U.S. official said the Trump negotiation team—comprising U.S. Vice President Vance, Special Envoy for Middle East Affairs Witkoff, and senior Trump advisor Kushner—continues to hold phone calls with Iranian representatives and mediators and exchange draft proposals, and is “approaching its goal.” A third official noted: “We want to reach an agreement, and some in Iran also want one—the key is securing full consensus within the Iranian government.” Sources indicated that if a framework agreement is reached, the ceasefire would need to be extended to allow time for negotiating details. “The details are complex and cannot be finalized within two days,” one official said. Another official stated that the United States has not yet formally agreed to extend the ceasefire, and both sides remain in ongoing contact. (Jinshi)
