TechFlow News, April 15: According to an Associated Press report today (April 15), mediators are nearing agreement on extending the temporary ceasefire between the United States and Iran and facilitating the resumption of negotiations. Sources indicate that both sides have “reached a principled agreement” to extend the ceasefire agreement—set to expire on April 22—to buy additional diplomatic time. The report notes that U.S. blockades of Iranian ports and threats from Iran cast uncertainty over the ceasefire’s prospects. Currently, all parties are seeking compromises on key points of contention, including Iran’s nuclear program, the Strait of Hormuz, and wartime compensation. (Jinshi)
