TechFlow News, March 18: According to cryptocurrency journalist Eleanor Terrett, U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY), Chair of the Senate Banking Committee’s Digital Assets Subcommittee, commented on the latest developments regarding the Clarity Act.
Lummis stated that the bill will complete its legislative advancement by the end of this year, expressing firm resolve. She also revealed that the Republican members of the Senate Banking Committee plan to commence the bill’s markup session in late April, following the conclusion of the Easter holiday. Regarding yield-related issues, Lummis indicated that a solution has largely been reached. On negotiations concerning decentralized finance (DeFi)-related provisions, she stated that related disputes have been appropriately resolved.
