TechFlow news: On March 11, GoPlus disclosed that the top result for “Claude Code” on Google Search is currently a malicious installer. Attackers are distributing malware via Google Search ads, with these ads masquerading as the official Claude Code installation page—cloned to pixel-perfect accuracy. Once users download and install this malicious program, they face severe security risks, including theft of passwords, cookies, and session tokens, as well as unauthorized access to cryptocurrency wallets, credentials, and system information.
