Compiled a selection of representative projects from the sector, each contributing to the future of the robotics economy at different levels.

Robots, once mere mechanical entities confined to science fiction, have gradually moved from laboratories into production lines, logistics centers, and service industries, driven by the widespread adoption of Web2's foundational platforms and smart devices. Over the past decade, machines have achieved partial automation but remained constrained by closed platforms and centralized control. This is gradually changing with the emergence of Web3.

Robots are no longer just hardware—they are economic agents on the blockchain. The data they generate, actions they perform, and value they produce can now be recorded, incentivized, and traded. When combined with AI, robots are redefining the boundary between the physical and digital worlds.

Below are some representative or frequently discussed projects in this space, each contributing to the future of the robot economy at different levels.

OpenMind

Dubbed the "Android of robotics," OpenMind has developed OM1—the first fully open-source, AI-native robot operating system (MIT License, GitHub with 2.5k+ stars, 500+ global contributors). It supports mainstream hardware including humanoid, quadruped, robotic arms, and mobile bases, offering full-stack capabilities such as localization, mapping, planning, remote monitoring, and human takeover.

Its FABRIC layer is a decentralized AI control protocol enabling large-scale robot collaboration, trust networks, ZK auditing, machine identity verification, and micropayment incentives (in partnership with Circle), allowing robots to share knowledge, coordinate tasks, and form a shared intelligence network.

Funding: Raised approximately $20M in a Seed + Series A round in August 2025, led by Pantera Capital, with participation from top-tier institutions including Coinbase Ventures, Digital Currency Group, Ribbit, Sequoia China (now HongShan), and Primitive Ventures. Funds will be used to expand the engineering team, deploy OM1 robot dog pilots (launching 10 units for home, school, and public scenario testing in September 2025), and advance the FABRIC network.

Token/TGE: No official TGE yet. A token (likely OMND) is expected in Q1–Q2 2026 (based on investor lineup and roadmap).

Current participation opportunities (extremely high热度, strongly recommended): Season 1 points program active—earn points by contributing spatial data to train robot navigation AI; FABRIC Identity Network on Base is live—mint identity NFTs and earn exclusive badges; waitlist exceeds 150k sign-ups; free mint OpenMind NFT (requires small amount of ETH); contribute via GitHub, join OM1 Beta testing, follow Epoch/Season tasks on Discord/Twitter (@openmind_agi); join waitlist at openmind.org to accumulate points with strong airdrop potential.

Konnex

Konnex is a Web3-native, permissionless decentralized marketplace for robotic intelligence and physical labor, enabling autonomous robots to contract with one another, trade AI intelligence, and settle transactions in stablecoins. Its goal is to build an “Autonomous System GDP.” Core technologies include Proof-of-Physical-Work (sensor data audit → automatic payment), Universal Task Language (JSON-based universal task format breaking vendor silos), and Market-Priced AI Intelligence (validators compete on KPIs; top models earn royalties). Use cases span decentralized logistics, robotic kitchens, and smart agriculture, aiming to unlock a $25 trillion physical labor economy.

Team: CEO Jon Ollwerther (15+ years in robotics, five exits, raised over $100M, “40 Under 40”), advisors include pioneers in drone swarming.

Funding: Closed a $15M strategic round in January 2026, led/participated by Cogitent Ventures, Leland Ventures, Liquid Capital, Covey, M77 Ventures, and Block Maven LLC. Funds allocated to platform expansion, hardware integration, and new validator protocol development.

Token/TGE: No token launched yet. Konnex Points system is live, and airdrop officially started.

Current participation opportunities (currently hottest, ongoing): Airdrop accessible via hub.konnex.world; connect wallet, complete Mandatory Quests to unlock more tasks → earn Konnex Points (with x1.2 multiplier events); near-zero cost, daily community tasks ongoing; strongly advised to immediately participate in quests to accumulate points; whitepaper at konnex.world/wp; follow updates on Twitter @konnex_world.

//////////////////

The robot赛道 did not emerge out of nowhere—it is the result of gradual maturation in automation, AI, and Web3 infrastructure. On-chain identity, incentive, and settlement mechanisms have opened new possibilities for machines to participate in economic activities.

Currently, most projects are focused on building foundational capabilities, with large-scale real-world applications still in early stages. Tokens primarily serve to bootstrap ecosystems, and their long-term value will depend on actual deployment and usage.

Whether robots will become a significant part of Web3 remains to be seen—but starting from 2024, this sector has transitioned from pure concept to a phase that can be continuously observed.

We will continue to track project progress, TGE timelines, and real-world adoption in this space, updating and supplementing as necessary.
