On Wednesday, April 12, we attended MonkeDAO and MetaPlex’s MonkePlex event at Ainslie Bowery—an unforgettable experience.
Here’s the latest update on MonkeDAO and its recent acquisition of Solana Monkey Business:
Solana Monkey Business (SMB), known for its pixelated monkey NFTs, has had its intellectual property (IP) acquired by MonkeDAO for $2 million following a community vote.
Previously, SMB’s founder sold the project to Hadeswap, but the decentralized exchange decided to transfer the IP rights to MonkeDAO. In exchange for $2 million in USDC, MonkeDAO obtained all associated rights, assets, accounts, and keys—including legal registrations, website code, and social media handles.
Experts suggest this move could increase activity in the NFT market, promote decentralization of projects, intensify competition among NFT initiatives, and ultimately drive innovation and creativity across the industry.
Pudgy Penguins
We had a fantastic time at the Pudgy Penguins event during NFT NYC. We gathered together and forged new connections. Pudgy’s claw machine was the star of the show, winning everyone's hearts. It was a wonderful night for the community—a shared celebration of love for the adorable Pudgy Penguins, creating lasting memories.
Shell Orbz x Nakamigos

We attended the IRL Shell Orbz and Nakamigos event held at Chantelle Hotel. Upon arrival, the air was already buzzing with excitement. The party lasted until the early morning, bringing together a diverse crowd including artists, musicians, and project contributors.
Big Apple Apes’ BAYC: An Event for Bored Apes
As a sponsor of the event, meeting and mingling with other BAYC holders was an incredible experience! The night was filled with lively conversations, new friendships, and unforgettable moments—perfectly embodying the spirit of the BAYC community.
Connecting with On1 Force and Azra Games
Why do we love attending IRL events?
Because they create excellent opportunities to connect with different Web3 projects and communities. We interacted with 0n1Force, Azra Games, The Wanderverse, and The Fracture communities. Each project showcased its contributions to the Web3 space, and learning from and connecting with these talented individuals was an unforgettable experience.
Claynosaurz
Of course… we couldn’t miss the Claynosaurz event.
We had a great time sharing ideas and learning from each other. These events truly highlight the vibrant and dynamic nature of the NFT community and the Solana ecosystem.
In recent days, as the broader cryptocurrency market heats up again, Solana’s price has risen accordingly. As I write this, SOL is trading at $24.93—the highest since March 23—and up over 30% from its March lows.
Crypto Tech Women
Crypto Tech Women’s party was undoubtedly one of the hottest events. The open bar kept everyone energized, and we’re extremely grateful to the amazing people we met during this event who helped organize such a memorable gathering.
We’re thrilled to see more women entering the Web3 space—an excellent sign that the industry is becoming more diverse and inclusive.
The Power of DeGods
Despite our packed schedule, we made sure to attend Frank DeGods’ birthday pizza party—an event that brought together key figures from both the DeGodsNFT and y00tsNFT communities. Seeing so many NFT enthusiasts gather in one place was incredibly exciting.
Speaking of DeGods…
At NFT NYC, the strength and passion of the DeGods community were undeniable. As we spoke with builders and enthusiasts, we were consistently inspired by innovative ideas and new projects in development.
The DeGods team shined at the NFT NYC meetup, booking an entire floor at a prominent city hotel. The event generated massive buzz, with tickets selling out within hours.
We’re deeply grateful to DeGodsNFT and y00tsNFT for the incredible experience hosted at Public Hotels.
Finally, one of the most significant events during NFT NYC was the DeGods DeNYC underground party held at Public Hotels Basement—an unforgettable night spent with the DeGods and y00ts communities.
Although access to the event was restricted to DeGods and y00ts NFT holders, the line outside Public Hotel’s basement was still long, with attendees eager to join the evening’s celebration.
As we walked through the doors, excitement and energy hit us immediately, welcoming us into a beautifully designed and vibrantly atmospheric scene.
Cryptoadz NFT
We also attended the Cryptoadz NFT event.
It was a night full of fun, laughter, and meaningful connections with fellow enthusiasts. One of the highlights was meeting and interacting in person with outstanding members from NounsDAO and Nounish.
Azuki
NFT NYC 2023 showcased the continued growth of many NFT projects, including Azuki. Their event venue spanned two floors: the first featured a gallery-style design, while the second offered a vibrant indoor room and outdoor terrace—a major highlight. The event provided us with excellent opportunities to connect with the community.
We’re incredibly proud of Azuki’s progress and deeply impressed by their community.
